The Shoelace LifeA Poem by The Warrior PoetI just read Solitude by serah jha and was inspired to write something - here it is; it is NOT polished or even refined. Let it be what it wants to be for now.The Shoelace Life Greeting life a bit late this morning, Out the door in a great big hurry, I hit the frosty dawn for my daily run. A mile or so down the quiet road, My shoe’s fitting oddly and my foot’s kind of hurting And when you’re out there running that’s just not fun. My shoelace had missed a number of holes, Two in the middle that had been there awhile, And the one I noticed today, which was one of the top two. I saw, then, my own shoelace life, and how easy it is to overlook some things, while others seem important enough to stop you. It was because of those holes at the top that I missed when I missed one today. That I saw the flaws inherent in my own attitude The middles holes though part of the team, Bypassed and left out, were doing nothing, They were only physically there but were actually in solitude.
