To Turn Away

To Turn Away

A Poem by Warrick
"

One of November's Withering; 2009.

"

Sometimes
I don't feel like anyone at all
Complications and master plans
Come ruining it all

Well there's got to be something wrong with me
What's that writing on the wall,
Would you tell me?
Tell me

I've never lifted a pen in anger
To you
And now you blame me for the pain
That comes striking through
And through

Honey, these are just words
No they weren't meant for you

They're just meant for me
To read
When everything's blue
Cause there are things I can't say
To anyone else
But me
Anyone else but me

So I don't let you in
To this world that I've built
Just for me
And as these pages reach their final mark
Well the notes just fall off
And off
They go

My worst fears have come falling out
And now you ask me to explain just
What this is all about
Well dear I can't say
And you just turn away... .. .

Reminds me of the wall I have with some of the people most deserving of my trust. Feel free to let them in.

Only critique is perhaps shorten the length, the impact can be concentrated rather than spread out.
