Resting-
in a-
sea of-
earthen~ debris~

beneath-
the twitching-
arms of an-
ever-green~ canopy~

The wind-
whispers-
very gently-
the shrubs-
rustle in-
quiet~ harmony~

The canid breathed in
the life of the Earth
and let root and dirt
weave tales for his dreams
