A Poem by Waqas Rabbani
"

We all have ups and downs in life, this is a moment of my life when i felt like i was in the valley of despair, words just wrapped themselves around my feelings, and the words you see below resulted

"
I now relate
a Litany of Woes
That have plagued my Mind
For Days Untold

I am utterly alone
And in solitude i Lay
Reflecting upon
the errors of my Ways

Mortally wounded
by loss of love
i flutter like a wounded
flightless Dove

Memories Old
Plague my days
Tearing and ripping
my soul in ways

making me wish
that i had died
long ago
for many a night

yet this litany of woes
will someday end
i have lost only love
but not my friends

they will heal my wings
and keep me alive
so that someday
i may dare to fly

back into the Azure Sky..

Author's Note

Waqas Rabbani
i would really appreciate reviews on my work, i try my hardest to pen the thoughts that form in my mind, yet i know i have a long way to go to become a refined atrist, painters paint pictures with colors, i wish to be a poet, those who paint pictures and emotions with words... and the only way i can become that is with your help.

Friends are what really matter in this world today. But we can't trust everyone we meet, we have to choose those who are worthy...some will pass the test, others won't. Those who pass are worth keeping around to help you when you stumble on your road of life.
We often reflect on our mistakes we've made in the past, but it's best to forget those and move on...make ourselves new and better than how we were in the past. Prove to people we are capable of more than our ruggy image we've once had. We soon have to shed that bad part of us and start over. Make new rules, set new goals for ourselves. That is the new us, not the old. Let us reflect on the new us, not the old.

this is an amazingly beautiful piece. although sad, the uplifting ending was a fantastic touch and i left it feeling hopeful instead of dejected. it feels as though you have penned you emotions very well! i was not left confused or unsure of how to feel. thank you for sharing!
