Blind

Blind

A Poem by Want2Write

I am not the words you call me,
I am not the tone you use,
I am not worthless or in the way,
I have a use but you can't tell.

I am not to be used or trod upon,
And when overlooked I shall rise,
I will be ignored bit ignorant I will not.

I demand respect and need time,
I get hyper and over the top,
For that I will not apologise,
I have been made in your image, a lost disguise,
I live with guilt, a burden you were happy to provide.

You're supposed to love me and care
But where were you when I was tearing myself to shreds

You lack an instinct one that would have saved us both.

You shout and scream hit but don't see me bleed
Then have the audacity to question what's wrong with me.

We are all human... each of us has "flaws". You express the feelings and emotions you hold within undertstandably and pretty well. The last bit is exceptionally power-full.

I would suggest you reread A L O U D and slowly - the words as you have them NOT as your mind might suggest them to be and then correct as necessary... I am guilty of fumbly fingers and my own mind "burps" - neither of us needs distractions when we speak.
