The beauty of summer surrounds us
Wind blows across our bodies
As the green grass and dirt burns under our toes
The sun beating upon us
The world moves slowly
As nature gives us our fill
Of peaceful days with one another
If only like this it could stay

i love the picture ... it brings the eye to the bird instantly ..and the starkness of the full sky in contrast to all the activity of bird and branch throws me off balance for a bit ....but it reminds me the bird is also of the sky ...but you took quite a chance taking the pic under the bird like that ;)))
you poem puts me there .. moments in nature and the "now" are wondrous ...not to be held and kept ...but to be experienced forever as our moments change ... easy smooth read .. nothing i would change .. opening line sparks my mind ... i feel the wind ... the warm sun ... and the best of it for me is the focus on sharing it with another person ... in peace and comfort
