Becoming one

Becoming one

A Poem by Wannabewriter16
"

Where my mind has taken me

"
I lay on the beach,my hair all over the place with a slight wind in my face.
Feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin
and the sand between my toes.

Waves crashing on the shore as I watch the palms swaying to the sweet sound of the ukulele.

My soul and my mind opened to the beauty that surrounds me. Beauty I had never seen before, but now I see and feel it all around me.

I see the beauty in myself and now know that I am a free creature, one with nature and know that is just what I want to be.

no need to apologize for sharing ones thoughts and feelings ...you have shared a special moment with us ... in a precious place .. the plain language and youthful impression i get ... make it even better i.e. "....,my hair all over the place..." very endearing to me ...these kinds of meditative states are fleeting and we must stop to hear, see and feel them when they are upon us ... your poem reminds me of such a place..it was in Pisbo Beach and i was on an assignment that did not start for a few days .. so i treated myself to a swank hotel room on the beach and those waves and gulls and salt spry breezes are permanently affixed in my noodle ... so well don says i

Thank you! I haven't actually been there but this is what I feel it would be like.

Thank you so much!
I don't think it's bad.
If you don't mind I did some editing on it.
