Broken fortune cookie

Broken fortune cookie

A Poem by No one
"

Fortune cookie message. Angel's Lady inspired me to enter this in the contest. I changed it around a bit to fit the theme. I thought about putting in something with bad grammar and misspelled words to make it seem like a real fortune cookie message. But m

To someone you know, your time is more valuable than a golden bowl full of diamonds. Make certain you know who that is.

"This cookie tastes like chalk," she said, and spit it into a napkin.

"I didn't know anybody actually ate the cookies. You're really brave. What's the fortune say?" I said.

"It says to kiss you."

And she did.

Oh my gosh, this was so perfect. I honestly smiled, a real
big one too, at the end. It was just awesome. I don't
think that a longer version of this would have been as
magical. Wow. I commend you for these wonderful words.
And really, the best thing about words is that you can do
anything, make any person do anything, pull a dream through.
And that's just what you did here.

you forgot "in bed". Don't you know ALL fortunes should be read followed by the words "in bed"?!?!? : )
So great that she kissed you! Love that part. And....rumor is....if you don't eat the cardboard cookie...the fortunes don't come true!!! What a cool concept - glad you were motivated by it. This was a fun read....and I got to say "in bed" hehe. Wow I'm stupid silly today. Lack of sleep. Delirium. The best free high there is. Or not. : )
Confucious say: The people may be made to follow a path of action, but they may not be made to understand it.

Don't even ask me why I felt the need to quote Confucious! lol But....it's the only one appropriate for the kissing I could find!! : )

I think it works well as it is. It was very nice. Its simplicity was moving. It reminds me of something that should be in a movie and something I wish actually happened in my life. So much for dreams...
Thanx for writing!
