The Knife Behind Your BackA Poem by A. V. MadisonI really have no idea what this is.He smiled & asked me if I wanted to dance the chill in his voice could never enhance the way I felt as if I was on air, not land so I stood and reached right out for his hand
He led me into the middle of the floor we danced for awhile, but he said he wanted more I wasn't comfortable with his hands on my hips but I also wasn't okay when he kissed my lips
I told him to stop, that he was going too far He was the kind of guy that had sex in his car but I was the type of girl who could say no I used to love him, not knowing he was so low
He looked in my eyes and said "C'mon, baby" The whole room swirled and I was getting hazy I guess romance is just something I lack because I didn't see the knife behind your back © 2012 A. V. MadisonAuthor's Note
