Cancerous

Cancerous

A Poem by A. V. Madison

She puts her hands over her boy's ear

Because she would never ever want him to hear

What the doctor is speaking

What the woman is thinking

The next day all the church bells were broken

Not a door would close, not a window would open

Ladies peeked threw their blinds and dreamed

while the woman's son would scream

The woman would draw flowers

While at the top of tall towers

And though her son begs her not to go

Away with the wind her body will flow

Such a sad poem. Very, very good. I can feel the emotion just dripping from this piece, from the very first line to the last period. Fantastic!
