Graduation Day (Rayce)

Graduation Day (Rayce)

A Chapter by A. V. Madison

After yesterday's Tampax issue, Jayce has refused to speak to me.

We are both standing in a huge line, ready for our eigth grade diplomas. I look around, thinking that is what I'm stuck with for the next four years, unfortunately.

I have to say, Jayce doesn't look terrifying in her knee-length porcelain lace dress. And I'm hoping I don't look horrible in these khakis.

I hear a voice from behind me, it sounds like Jayce.

So I turn with one eyebrow raised.

"Ray- ok, I've got your attention. What if I make you a deal?" Jaydce sounds jittery and nervous.

"What- What's wrong?" I ask, turning completely around.
"Nothing, just nerves. Anyways, what if I said that over this summer break, we do something... illegal." Jayce looks around again, bright brown eyes flashing from place-to-place.

"You. And me. Do something. Illegal?" I asked, supressing a laugh.

Out of her bag, she pulls Hawaiian, Catalina Islands, and Bahamas brochures. Eight in all.

"60,000 big ones in all. Pretty expensive, but nice, huh?" She smiles.

"What are you imposing?" I ask, grinning also.

"A new bank is opening up on Yelning Street. Just around Treeman Boulevard. It's security is whack, and I saw a Garda truck outside of it, delivering cash."

"Point being?"

"You, me, and a few friends could have a once-in-a-lifetime getaway to all these islands this summer! All we have to do is," She glances around, "Rob a bank."

She grins devilishly.
