A Deatheater's DaydreamA Poem by A. V. MadisonThe killers always told me that you'd be allowed to live if all you ever had was your blood left to give
and the parent's always told me you'd be a great mother if you could earn some friends and stop being an 'other'
and the musicians always told me you could be a rockstar you just can never be everything you are
so it took this all into consideration and to find out who I wanted to be I would have to search the nation.
so I gave everyone a hug, and they told me I was wrong but I just shook my head I would sing my own ugly song
I told the killers that I would live and i would keep my blood fore I have nothing to give
and I told the parents i'd be a great mother and my kids would love me even if I was an 'other'
and I told the musicians I can always be a rockstar but you can never be because of what you are
and what I am is strong not a petty charity case because in this world of beauty there will always be a dream to chase © 2012 A. V. Madison |
