Sleep, Love, SleepA Poem by A. V. MadisonThere is silence here, that I wake up to each night I'm trying to sleep, but I can't close my eyes with your words in my head I so deeply despise don't ask me your questions I will be all right Sleep, love, sleep the night will drag on wrap yourself in words and wish for the dawn wait until it's over there's no use to fight hold your head high in the water a darkness so bright Carry on, fair maiden with eyes black as night a diamond doesn't shine it simply reflects if you trap yourself inside these walls you will radiate the same effect Sleep, love, sleep nighttime caressing your face it slits your throat while you sleep while you're tender and weak their words will affect you in ways they don't see the night will call for you, "Love, come with me"
