She Manages A SmileA Poem by A. V. MadisonA girl was born on December 23, 2000 to a couple of parents named Samantha and Ryan they named her Madison Noel Grandma told her 'go to hell' but somehow the girl manages a smile The girl grows up, goes to class beats a kid up of touching her a*s does half her homework trying to make it all work but somehow she manages a smile "You anorexic c**t, go chug some bleach." She'll admit, this made her feel so weak but it was true, the girl stopped eating right and this was not to her parents' delight but somehow she manages a smile She's sitting on the ground tears and mascara running down her face a boy told her that he loved her, but he lied. Everything swirls in a murky haze. But somehow, she manages a smile. She's a masochist, a sad little girl who's waiting for all of her secrets to unfurl. She's been kicked to the ground, been up and been down. She's been lied to, beat up, lost all of her remaining trust. But somehow, she manages a smile.
