Please Come Home

A Poem by A. V. Madison

Three months is far too long

to actually keep telling people I'm going strong

I wish right now I had my razor blade

to show you how much I really hate

all these people that call me a freak

I'm not crazy, I'm just weak

if I kill myself, do I go to hell?

or will only damn time tell?

is there a god? Is there a heaven?

Why do I hurt?

I'm only eleven...

My question:

Does anybody really hear me? Or am I just a whisper in the wind that no one cares about?

My other question:

Will anyone actually care if I die?

You are a whisper in the wind only if you don't allow yourself to become something more. Some people hear you, that's true. For example, I do. Some people don't. And if you want more people to hear you, then become somebody. Become a writer who will send important messages to the world.
And think about it for a moment. You're 11. What could possibly an 11 year old know about life? Nothing. If you think life is hard for you now, you just wait until you grow up. When you have to think about paying the bills, the rent, the debts...and then you realize there isn't enough money to provide yourself with food on the table. Those are the problems I face every day. And do you know what I say to that? I AM ALIVE. Think about the poor people in Africa, where they starve to death. Do they want to kill themselves? Of course not. They value their lives and try to survive the best they can.
Lives you and I lead are the privileges not all people have.
What I'm trying to say is this - toughen up and get these silly thoughts out of your head. Struggle with the hard times, and you shall be rewarded with good times. And if you find your life lacking any true meaning, then spend it on helping those who need your help.

Everyone will care if you die! Don't do suicide! You're beautiful, strong, and not worth it! Sorry. I'm spamming you're writing "page". But, your writing is just so good!

Some fairly leading thoughts in the poem... moreso in the Author's Notes.

A fair rhyming including the final - seperated line.

Oh Sabrina, I'm fine dear. And thanks.
I think there will be more than a few who care. There is no easy answers i'm afraid. Although we all have our share of fears, pain and confusion to varying degrees at some time or other in our lives, the ingredients of each is unique to that person. Finding your life's answers is never easy, but you gotta be in it to win it if answers are to be found. Don't give up hope.
