Penintime

Penintime

A Poem by Jennifer Hopkins
"

Passion with a writer.

"
It felt like a caress
As the words spilled from your pen
And flooded my heart.

But the volumes that bind us together
Exist only in this place.

And this anthology between us
Has no cohesive account.

We're both lost in words
Struggling to find our breath
In the margins of blank lines.

But my novaturient desires
Will not stop me from reading all your footnotes.

My precarious predisposition
Towards inopportune timing
Will not dissuade me from
Trying to match our tempos

wow... a fantastic piece.. I love the palpable intensity between the two writers... and all the passionate references... especially "my novaturient desires will not stop me from reading all your footnotes" what a gem! I had to look up novaturient, great use of the word!

This is brilliant, sweet, innocent a bit stalker-ish and could-be-creepy all rolled up into one. I love it.

Hah! I think the "stalker-ish and could-be-creepy" about sums it up.
