Pain

Pain

A Poem by Wamakai
"

I am the most profound in my sadness

"
Pain is a deep dark hole,
dank and empty,
slimy and horrible.
Pain is a major problem on love's highway...
But nobody knows how to patch it up.
In that hole lies torment, despair and grief,
Three monsters from whom we never seem to run...
Dark clouds conquer any hopes of hopeful rays
And the monsters are constantly on the prowl...
Pain is an endless abyss...
And I have fallen in.

I like the use of adjectives in this poem. The way you compare and describe pain in different ways, and use to personification to give it various qualities makes the overall piece very effective. Great write :)
