A Chapter by Lutz
"

meeting a monster for the first time

"
He drove a car like from the 90's.
one of those black BMW XXL something-something numbers.
thats what i always remember first about him.
then the smell of his leather jacket.
his crooked smile.
that laugh.

it was spring/summer
the pavement was still wet from the nightly dew.
or maybe it had been raining?
11:48pm friday night
i snuck out the front door

his headlights hit the street and i can't help but smile.
i haven't even met the guy,
we've been talking for a week.
no going back now.

His car smells like a mancave.
leather, weed, gum, and boy smell
i fall into trance when i finally look him over.
hes the Jekyll to my Hyde
he was my kind of crazy

we got to his house in no time
it was 35 mins away but it seemed so quick
and somehow magical.
he had pointed out the boating schools
shown me the best area to park and look at the water.
then his house.

his hand ran up my dress and i fell for it all
the words the sound of his voice
the way he held me as we snuck into his room.
i wanted him forever.
i thought.

I fell in love with the simplicity of the poem. It was humble yet it had an extensive amount of emotion and experience. It was a pleasure to read the description of how he looked. He seemed real to me and I have no idea of whether he exists or not.Long story short, I love this chapter.
