Intuition

Intuition

A Poem by Skye

The past clings closer
To those who fear it
But it seems,
I can't shake my own
Fear isn't what draws it
Like a moth to candle light
But my own weary apprehension
I know I'm fine
That no harm will come
But it's still there, in the far
Reaches of my mind
Warning me
Always keeping watch
So that the past
Doesn't become another reality

This is beautiful. And true. If people could let the unimportant details of the past go, life would be more enjoyable.

Very nicely done Skye, as always! History will repeat itself, but only if you don't learn from the past.

About
Sometimes, I forget my passion underneath the demands of life and want of perfection. Then there are those nights where everything is clear, and I can't help but write what I feel. I love meeting .. more..
