Falling

Falling

A Poem by Skye

It is more than me
As I take my final step
At last I am free

Skye
So I've had this scene in my head for about a year now, I've tried writing it out like a short story, then writing it as a free verse poem, but I felt like I could never portray exactly what I wanted to. I guess a haiku can say more then a million words put together.

I've been there before, writing can be frustrating at times. I like how its short but it is in a way, very deep. Sometimes those are the best poems. Good write.

Excellent Haiku, I love how you were able to portray such an emotional, and sad moment in only a few words. Although I have to say as someone who has felt that way, I'm glad I did not take my final step.

So am I.
Sometimes the hardest images to portray are the most elusive for a reason. I love the simplicity in the complexity of your words here.

Thanks so much. :)
The depth of a person, many times will be found in the depth of the simplest of things. This poem is one of them.

About
Sometimes, I forget my passion underneath the demands of life and want of perfection. Then there are those nights where everything is clear, and I can't help but write what I feel. I love meeting .. more..
