The Way They Do ItA Poem by The Twin Arenasthe fewtch.Fliers drop in from California blowing down the main drag in August in out-of-state ballcaps that shriek no allegiance to anything. I light them bathe them in gold or like art on a wall and then tug on my flannel jacket in August. My poet friend told me don't cheer for the Browns but I did for six days to remind myself of his poems before I pieced together hotel lobby violence and then peace'd my ownself of the Browns. For six days I wore a Browns hat I found in the box by the door. After I light them bathe them in gold or like art on a wall and then tug on my flannel jacket in August, I wear a toque on my head. In California they call a toque a beanie or knitted cap.
