Transformation, although beneficial, always leaves us with a loss.
Some losses were welcome, others we don’t.....
You captured this in a way, that while I read, allowed me to reflect on the same.
Sometimes change makes us feel different about ourselves or we no longer see ourselves for who we are...change is all a part of the journey of life you still remain you...put those jeans back in I’m sure they look just great...🌹
I don't know if it's on purpose or not, but the absence of comas gave the poem an almost desperate tone. The reader is left panting, excited, maybe even scared. I felt like a cowgirl. Felt the rush, and at the same time, the panic and anxiety of not knowing anymore what the hell was I. Excellent piece and amazing way to enthrall us. Writers often forget the difference punctuation signs and typography can make to their readers.
Great i get this. On a holiday to the states in utah our two young sons rode cows at the rodeo. Mum couldn't open her eyes but both survived to tell the tale. I can see that this can have a wider message too.

Alan

This has a beautiful rhythm to it, and i really loved the cowboy lingo( had to google bronco-buster and buckaroo)
The things that once belonged to us are passed onto our loved ones someday. I still have some of my mother's old medical books, i have inherited my grandfather's beautiful library, my father's old stethoscope, and my grandma's embroidery ( wow that rhymes.. :)) The materialistic objects gain more value that way. The most weathered and beaten up objects are often the most treasured. The ephemeral objects gain immortality when they are passed on.
