if it bothers you, throw a shirt over it.

It doesn't matter

how close to paradise

you've made your hole,

if you leave your tv 

to play in the snow

swimmers will think you mad,

and maybe you are 

but then you'll remember

the sleep machine at a fancy hotel

in Toronto, and how the 

waves of the ocean sounded

just like channel three

I have one of those. It makes like 20 different sounds, curiously one of these is entitled "white noise", the static of the off kilter tv channel you refer to. My favorite they call ''sea shore'', it's not the rolling surf (that's another one) but more the sounds you might hear on the shore of a gentle protected bay.
Anyway, I liked this piece, Conda, the tone of it...

and thanks for the Otis clip, still listening to it.
