She Who SeeksA Poem by WabbajackJust my thoughts as I wonder...As I fall asleep under the midnight sun a beautiful girl full of tears touches my mind with her memories and ventures forth to find me before she even knows me and the years that have passed since that day would not allow in misaligned time for our hearts to be entwined. The moment is here, the time is now this era will surely pass. Will my heart remain a lump of coal? Or will love be ours at last? I think we dance in the in-between No love but no rejection I think we fear each other's response And yet, upon reflection I've been alone for far too long my humanity I've questioned I should make that gamble, take the chance that my heart can again be softened. I'm bitter now, but opportunity knocks and now is that once in a lifetime. Dear wind, beware as I throw my caution, Beauty of tears, you may yet be mine.
