Noticed

A Poem by Wabbajack
"

Philosophy on love

"
Have you ever noticed?
When we use the word love, we say, "I love you."
Love is a verb, it's an action.
Love is a choice, and the emotions connected are repercussions of that choice.
It isn't limited to feelings, and it isn't a "thing."
Love is an act of the will, its a decision.
It is wanting and encouraging the best for others.
It is accepting who they were and are, and lifting their spirits.
Love is being thoughtful about another and how they feel.
Love is comforting during times of distress, even if that means backing off.
Love is about someone else, not yourself.
Love is self-sacrificial; giving up what you want or need for someone else's sake.
And love is chosen to be applied continually every day.
The strongest love can cause a person to hurt themselves for others without regret.

Ok... That, my dear brother, is depressing. Especially the last line.

Its not meant to be depressing, its meant to be insightful. Maybe I'm just a depressing person...

No it's just depressing when you talk about things in a sad way.
