Belated Valentine's Poem

Just came out of nowhere recently.

Why does "I love you" become so hard to say?
Is it because of past heartbreaks that won't fade away?
And love at first sight;
Since when was that real?
I thought it was only
In fairy tales
I've only just met you,
But I know you so well
That I feel your sorrow
When the tears start to swell
I hold you so close
At times such as these
That I feel your touch
From these far away leagues
You place your arms around my neck
And cry and cry, I know you're a wreck
But you're also beautiful, sweet and kind
You're wonderful, amazing, I hope that you're mine
Because even though its hard to say
I can't help but keep coming back
You're cute and adorable,
Addictive as crack
Since when does "I love you" become so hard to say?
And using a poem becomes the only way?

I like this poem and its simplicity of thought and innocence... also I can relate to it so that might be another reason why... sometimes I love you is too hard to say, for me it's only hard when I mean it, when I truly love the person so when I find I the words falling easily off my lips I refrain from using them for knowledge that I won't really mean what I'm saying.

Not really but sober enough to make sense (hopefully).

Wow, my computer needs a Breathalyzer apparently. I swear the internet is just a vehicle into the virtual world. I think I saw one at bed bath and beyond the other day. A breathalyzer, I mean. Maybe if they weren't so damn expensive I'd buy them.

So I read it three times over. And it totally know what you mean with people being addicting. I mean from people you think are cute to people you're dating at some point the feeling of infatuation becomes addicting. Communication with them becomes addicting. It's scary.

Although, I don't think tears really swell.
Eyes swell
And tear well

So that part kind of made me stop and say what?

I really enjoyed this, I like seeing contemporary poetry around here (it's so much more interesting to me but shhh)
