My Wish...

My Wish...

A Poem by Jason

I don’t know what’s real anymore

Or how to deal anymore, ’cause I can’t feel any force

I feel only remorse and that’s true

What is there left to do, when all has been ridiculed

With dreams turning to mush

There’s a fire burning for lust

And you’re not earning my trust

Enough is enough

I don’t even know who I am right now

I keep hearing it’s time for me to make a stand right now

But right now is when?

Right now is then

And then isn’t now

So tell me how I win?

In a society based off conformity

Constantly having to face off with authority

And face jail, oh well…

Life can be a living Hell

Promised so much more

But there’s only proof that I’ve failed

If I could grant one wish

It would be this

To rise from this dream undying

And dismiss

All pain from my mind

And lay pain behind

This dream out of line

This is mine

My wish

Everything seems faded

What’s real seems jaded

Seems that everything about me, I constantly hate it

Simply....

Insomnia tempts me

And negative hatred leaves me empty

But that’s me

And these are my dreams

Nothing in life is ever quite what it seems

In silence I scream

I’m caught in between

All this dirt and mud, and can’t ever stay clean

I can’t take it

My soul swears I’ll make it

But that day’s not here

And my fear is truly hatred

I’m naked

Stripped bare down to the bone

Where is my home?

Is this why I’m alone?

I’ve spent hours upon hours

Trying to release this sour

Taste in my mouth, but yet this taste is ours

From struggling and fumbling, trying to gain power

If I could grant one wish

It would be this

To rise from this dream undying

And dismiss

All pain from my mind

And lay pain behind

This dream out of line

This is mine

My wish

No one knows what it’s like

To be so wrong and so right…

At the very same time

To be so gone for a night

And can’t figure out why

To hold on for dear life

As pain always creeps behind

To lose sight of this dream?

I can’t, this dream of mine

But, we are all brothers

And we need to discover

Love in our lives and substitute no other

It makes me sick

To tolerate whining fits

You wanna know what I love?

This is it

Nothing could ever fill the empty hole in my soul

Or could turn dirt into gold like this dream that I hold

And nothing could ever make me feel so complete

It’s like my heartbeat

It’s what makes me unique

But I’m tired of these repercussions

Just read these thoughts and end of discussion

All of my ideas are for the plucking…

Maybe I’ll read them too, eh?

And end this discussion

If could grant one wish

It would be this

To rise from this dream undying

And dismiss

All pain from my mind

And lay pain behind

This dream out of line

This is mine...

My wish

Keep on dreaming, Brother! NEVER give up on your dreams! Dreams and hope are one and the same. Your dream is real and viable. We all have to cross the river to get to the other side. The trick is finding the shallowest part of the river. But sometimes we get in over our heads. In which case we simply have to swim a little bit. As long as there is air to breathe, there is a chance!
Another Fine and Excellent piece of poetic art! Do I hear a song here? : >)

This is so intense, i could just feel my heart scrunch up into a little knot knowing those powerful words play on the edge of intimate but are so bold and so true. Keep dreaming and dream big. Dont lose sight of those dreams.

Perfection here.. Love the dreams, never give them up. We all came from something, Dreams made up from one simple act, word.. Your imagery was right on, so can feel all you put forth..

Keep on trudging. You are one heck of a writer!

I have nothing but praise for this..

Remember we have an entire country built on dreams.. dreams of a free nation, dreams of flight, sending man to the moon ect... Yours are no less than that.

Kudos,

JC

Love is worth the fight, it's worth the pain in the end. Sometimes you have to keep eye on the prize to get through the day. Best wishes to you :)

It started with the first generation and was passed to each one thereafter. You are the "dreamer," the nonconformist, the future of agony and pain until sorry to say it is passed to the next generation. Our society tends to be based on social backgrounds, who you know and where you stand on the economic ladder determines how much power you wield. You had a little better chance in the past, before the dynastys' of this country were formed and passed leverage on to the next generation. So many lambs willingly lay their head on the block, that is what has been ingrained in them. You fight that feeling and there is absolutely nothing wrong in doing so. But you have found a creative outlet, the mighty pen and who knows where this may lead you in the obtaining of power to turn this thing around and lay the ground work to a new era for the next generation. Writers and singers tend to do just that. Some to the wrong just ends, but they appeal to the segment of society that has no desire to move forward, too much effort for them. Has John Lennon arrived to the cafe? This is only my take on this wonderful writing you have presented.

This is a wonderfully written piece. I love how you tend to pull the emotion out of yourself and create a personal masterpiece. This is so you my friend. No one could ever say that you are conforming to anything because you are not. I just want you to know there is someone who believes in you. You are a talented writer and wonderful friend. I am here for you should you need me. Please hang in there. You are brilliant.
