Rubber Duckie Ninja Zombie

Once upon a time

There was a rubber duckie

Who splashed in water

And quaked every time you squeezed him

 

One day the rubber duckie

Met a ninja sitting by the tub

Sulking about how he was the only one

So the rubber duckie said he’d be a ninja

 

The ninja threw katanas in excitement

“I will teach you how to be ninja” he said

For four days and nights they trained

Trained all the way till the end

 

“I’ve taught you all,” the ninja said

“Now go forth and be a rubber duckie ninja”

The rubber duckie ninja never saw him again

Except in the news after he was caught killing

 

During the days that followed

The rubber duckie ninja swam stealthily

Jumping in and out of soap foam

Until he met a zombie

 

“Excuse me, rubber duckie ninja

I don’t mean to be rude

I’m a zombie, you see

And you’re the food.”

 

The zombie bit rubber duckie ninja

There was nothing he could do

He floated dead for a few minutes

Then he became rubber duckie ninja zombie

 

“Timothy, time to get out of the bath!”

His mother called from downstairs

Timmy groaned and put his bath toys away

“I guess the rubber duckie will be probed tomorrow.”

Interesting. I liked the end. At first I was like "What the f*** is going on here?" Then, with the last stanza, I realized it was the wild imagination of a child, in which anything can happen. I like that the story wasn't finished, like a To Be Continued, which was always how I played my games and I think how I started my writing and story telling career. Keep writing.
