One

One

A Poem by Ian Faraway

One desire

Pops into my head every day

Everything I ever wanted

But can’t have

One major pain

I see your warm face

The smile that puts the sun to shame

I’m so hypnotized

One heartache

To see those eyes

And know I don’t lie behind them

I’m so scared

One sad truth

To know how much I need you

It’s to the point

Where I am nothing without you

One goal

When everything is nothing

Without you here near me

Let me be the one on your mind

One Life

To waste my heart on

Something that I will gladly waste

Just to have a moment of your love

Its about time you showed up! This was very well penned and the repetition of 'One' was threaded like someone who knows their craft quite well. The subject's unrequited love isn't drenching the reader and yet you aren't over simplifying it either. Its a nice balance that you've created. Almost like the subject is in love but understands that it won't be returned and is ok with that but given the chance would take it. J'adore =)

sweet poem, sad, very sad, like the last 3 lines,
like the girl is your world now. without her, you got nothing.
