Love is DeadA Poem by Ian FarawayWhen your heart goes mad, everything diesLove is dead Shot dead on Murdered in broad daylight All the witnesses said the same thing They said you pulled the trigger Hope was kidnapped Stuffed into a bag to be tortured Thrown into a windowless van Drove away in the middle of the day An elderly couple said you did it Trust committed suicide Hung itself in front of everyone Jaws dropped and tears were shed Everyone cried except for one They say you sat there and smirked A troubled goodness died Beat senseless in a mall Silence became a deafening sound Hundreds of people watched Goodness died by your hands Happiness drowned Bound by rope and pushed in The dirty river water swallowed it whole Two fisherman nearby were watching They said you killed happiness The heart that brought these things together Can be found in rehab Sitting in a dark corner driven mad The nurse’s can easily tell That this heart is crazy for you © 2010 Ian FarawayReviews
