A Woman's Heart Is An Ocean Of Secrets

I took one line from the movie Titanic that I thought stood out and made it into the poem....stupid movie made me cry!! :'(

A woman’s heart is an ocean of secrets

One where desire and love runs most fierce

So tell me how a man can survive

Knowing that the heart is the key

The good, the bad, the beautiful

Nothing hides and everything shows

I don’t want your body

Though most lust you for it

I wish not to use you

Though most try to

Nor to control what cannot be tamed

For many has tried

For they do not see the true beauty within

The beauty free, wild, and gay

Shall they lock your heart in chains?

Keeping the fire within from being free

Free

FREE!

Love so fierce in its purest form

There is no controlling a woman’s heart

For if you try, you will drown!

But I wish not to contain true beauty

I wish to flow through the rivers of passion

Flow with and flow for the rivers

No fighting, no strain against its magic

I shall go with its flow

Until I go to the place few men see

We don't keep secrets merely share with a select few. This has to be one of my favorite pieces that I've ever stumbled upon. This poem is 'knowing' seems as though not only have you floated in that river but you've drowned in it as well. J'adore =)

reminds me of a poem i would read in like.. 1850.
which i like. i love historical elements in writing.
i also love the sincerity of the words. makes me think "not all guys are pigs!". haha.
