Hidden Passion, Hidden Love

This is to describe all the passion and love I have inside me.

Oh, subtle hints and painful sight
Give it a reason to hide tonight
Show itself but hide with all its might
Slowly, but painfully, feelings take flight

There are very limited rations
Hidden Love
Blind everyone with your fire from above

I know its hard after all the years you had to hide
But now it's time to bid that dark, cruel world goodbye
Show the world I have a hidden love to hold me high
I'll give these abilities to a girl someday and never ask why

Time to come out and take action
Hidden Love
Spread your wings and fly away, my little dove

No one knows of the passion inside
Everyone else only cares about the outside
There's just too much fear and too much pride
I'll find the one and let my love be by her side

There is enough to fill an entire nation
Hidden Love
Dove for cover when push came to shove

Once I find her, I'll surrender my all
Even if she becomes my ultimate downfall
I'll stand outside alone in the rainfall
Knowing the sun will shine and I can stand tall

I'm a huge fan of repetition, so this poem definitely stood out to me. I especially loved the last stanza. It was so honest and raw. I could feel every word. Great work!
