Your Life, My EyesA Poem by Ian FarawayWhen you say 'I
love you'
I can see right through your lies
Everyone else doesn't see That you are the devil in disguise Keep telling your stories But I won't fall for your demise Just remember that I won't be here When all your hope dies Sometimes you don't get your sympathy So you sit alone and get high Funny thing about this problem? You think freedom is right between your thighs Everyday I see you around Talking and rubbing against random guys I know you see me looking at you Trying to process your doubtful mind I see the way you look at the world Seeing people with life unkind I know your desires I know what it is you wish to find But you sold your soul to the devil Took his contract and proudly signed I tried stopping your ultimate downfall But you disappeared into the sands of time Am I to blame if I tried? To make your story into a sad rhyme? Your sad eyes and pathetic life Messing around with the hit-it-and-quit-it slim © 2010 Ian FarawayReviews
