In The Emptiness

In The Emptiness

A Poem by Ian Faraway

After the long fought war,
All possibilities running out the back door
Somewhere in the mist of this Darkness
But I keep walking in the emptiness
One step to two
Scrambling my mind to find truth
What did I ever do to you?
All I wanted was someone I could lean to

You ran, I hid
It was all part of my huge bid
Gambling my heart away
Hoping I'll get more after today
Step back and look at the issues
Every single night seeing you with boozes
Was it really worth all the trouble?
Trying to win over my inner devil

I wonder, did you ever care?
To enter my own wrath I did not dare
Did you know I once looked up to you?
As a single father, it was just us two
But you went sour
I go into my room and be a coward
Then I'll disappear into the my head of Darkness
And walk in the Emptiness

This is amazing, you have such a talent for writing poems. You can feel the sense of abandonment and the rhymes are great.
