MorganA Poem by Ian Faraway
They say if you can't add value
To the life of a woman you may love Then you should admire her from afar So I do I admire her passion And her captivating eyes When they briefly fall on me Like my heart's assassin Her beauty like a goddess Confidence like a warrior Compassion like a nun The differences between us Would she think it strange? Would she be flattered? Or would she smile at me? The start of a Lover's Exchange I'm a blank slate of Love A student who will make many mistakes I wouldn't add value to who she is Unfortunately, I'm someone she'd tire of I'm sick of my heart being played like an organ I thought I had no need for Love But the Universe knew otherwise When I first met Morgan
