Searching

Searching

A Poem by Ian Faraway

I am one

If not in pieces

Unknown to this world

And lost from mine sight

I am nothing

If not a void

Filled with lost desire

And hatred for the same

I am everything

If not a dreamer

Colored visions of love

And longing from mine

I am anywhere

If not nowhere

The tears that have hid me

And the obsession that drives

I am simple

If not complex

Fueled for intense love

And running on empty

I am

Because I am not

To live for one thing

Yet search for another

Endlessly.

Constantly.

Pitifully.

Searching for that love.

A struggle. Pulling back in forth, searching. I believe that even the most cold hearted man on earth, craves love, it is ultimately what one searches for. Many just go by it the wrong way and take it for granted.
To live for ne thing, yet search for another...that stood out to me....
A very nice piece, well done!
