Something About YouA Poem by Ian FarawayWrote this poem todayI don't really know how to feel about this
When you came into my life out of no where And started to raise me from my abyss Of my own sadness like you actually care Now I'm in shock because you haven't rejected me And rejection is the only thing I'm used to Now I'm scared you'll eventually flee Because there's just something about you I'm petrified you're out of my league Everything just feels like a dream I try to tread carefully as I move Because I barely know you and you don't know me And once you do, you'll disapprove Turn away and leave me be The fact you acknowledge me feels too good to be true Just know that if you do leave me alone There's just something about you And I'll always dream to make you my own And I feel like you will walk away Or I'll wake up from this dream We both know how beautiful you are But it's not the only reason I long for you Or, in my dark night, you're my North Star That has an unseen ability to bring out what's true Maybe it's your eyes that make me weak Or it's the way you walk, talk, or smile And all this happened in one short week Now all I want to do I hold you for a while I don't know how to explain my fear of something I don't have But there's just something about you © 2013 Ian FarawayReviews
