What Manner Is He

 

 

         What manner of father is he?

To judge and gauge his own children's love.

          

         Your my daughter but you have no money,

give me money and show your love.

 

           But dad I was the only bread winner at one time,

that was then and doesn't count anymore.

 

            Your youngest two brothers are in their prime,

they are able to help me cause you can't anymore.

 

              But dad I'm the one who paid their way while being a single mom,

that was then this is now, besides you married a foreigner and he's poor.

 

               But he is my husband and makes him family,

why did you have to marry someone with no money?

 

                Because he is kind and I don't care about his money,

and you call him a foreigner and that hurts me.

 

                My two youngest sons only love me,

I spent money feeding and housing you growing up.

 

                Now I'm old and its time to repay me,

yea but I had to travel miles and sell milk as soon as I was up.

 

                What you did before is been erased and does not matter,

you don't love me cause your husband has no money.

 

                 This is a true story and the big question is,

what manner of man is this as a father?
