Who's In Control?

Just something I wrote up in about 20 minutes, might revise later.

When you can't control your thoughts, and your own mind turns against you
Left with nothing, you turn against yourself
Willing to go to any measure to gain control over the one thing remaining, the body
By any mean and method possible, to and beyond any point and extreme that exists
You fear it or you control it, it was as simple as that
Without thought or question, I chose control
Though little did I know, the more I thought I was in control of it
The more it was silently gaining control over me
And sooner than later, it consumed all that I was and all that I used to be
I realized I was just as helpless as I was from the start
Only now, a slave of two powerful forces I had become
At a total loss, I slowly lifted my head to the sky above
And with my arms outstretched, I dove head-first into a sea of complete surrender
Swallowed whole by a head of madness and pulled under by the grips of AnaMia
I succumbed to an underworld unseen, forever a lost child of the darkness
