Disappearing Act

Disappearing Act

A Poem by Whitney Kleinhuizen

Nights of silent horrors

Endless days in a chilly sun

Hope and sanity abandon her

A life of darkness she becomes

Blacker than black, and

Thick as molasses, it

Coats the brain
Infects her thoughts
        Feeds the mind
Corrupts her soul
        Seeps into bone
Swallows her whole

You are welcome...:)
I cant even- Words fail me. As soon as I even read the title I knew that this would get to me. I know im in a fragile place, but still, you've said everything without being explicit and its wonderful.

Thank you so much
Once again, your poems are very powerful! You have so much to say with few words. I love everything about this, especially the title you chose and the lines:
"Hope and sanity abandon her
A life of darkness she becomes
Blacker than black, and
Thick as molasses, it
Coats the brain"
Excellent write once again

About
I write out of expression. I don't know all the "rules of writing" and quite honestly don't really care. I write what I know. I write what I feel. I write beyond the eyes. I write from the heart. A.. more..
