BlindedA Poem by Whitney Kleinhuizen
You see me,
But you don't really see me. Who I am, Is not who you want me to be. I am only a false illusion, In your world of rules, restrictions, and normality, So dense and deafening, it kills. I attempt to appease you, A daily routine this has become. Giving you slight satisfaction, Only in turn to be silently sacrificing my own life. Anything to please you though. Stifling the heart. Destroying the spirit. Forfeiting the soul. But anything for you, my dear, Anything at all. © 2012 Whitney Kleinhuizen |
