The Power of Words by W.H. Weckel c 2007

A Poem by W.H.Weckel
"

Words....a choice to curse or bless

"

Clad without garb
into unknown hands, entrust
existence from the womb to a grave
for many that have life
walk about as if their dead
thoughts of consternation, shiver, quake
admit one, ride the carousel
gilded lights, rampant madness
be mindful should you see a falling star
make a wish, it may come true
whilst asleep you pirouette
imaginative, find out who you are
when a dreamer dies
do his dreams die with him
does a painters painting pale
will a setting sun ever rise to see the day
will you ever know
what is deep inside you
where to find it when you do
will the browbeaten child inside come out to play
the power of words
there is seed within them
colloquies, we hold the key to change
strong, influential
unlocking the hollow heart
some of us tho, choose to inflict pain
choosing words wisely
be prudent, fussy, decide
nothing new nor something never heard
benevolence, trust
open up, you see, there's life
contemplation, the power of words
