A Poem by W.H.Weckel
"

Remebering Mum....a long way back, the lack remains...always will I ponder her love

"

As the tide rolls away
no impressions in the sand
where footprints were imbedded
no traces of life

A solitary being
grappling to comprehend
the vague notion of images
silent in the night

A likeness of a scene
a painting in his head
a portrait of a woman
so long ago
Faded pictures from the past
neglect memories left for dead
obscured etchings
unearth in his soul
Devoid recollection
haunted by the memory of yore
his Mothers face unfamiliar
yet closely acquainted
Faint shadows, time gone by
hollowed heart, muffled cries
a pining broken man
holds her image
