Be absent.

I’ve traveled far, and died twice over

Past was present and my future denied

The young gawk at my presence

Marvel at the monstrosity that was I

Caring and Loving to kin, as any man

Hearing the echoes of past as the happenings of now

They bring heart to light; portray love through tears in the eyes

Preservation and isolation

Keep a step aside and trust in me

I always find a way

There is a strong purity to your poetic voice...almost like the echo of the past rolling in on a warm wind. I am reminded of myself in this piece; ever being the person to hold others up, even when I am sinking. Still, this trait is what makes the most sense to me in terms of myself, and I wouldn't trade it. Thought provoking writing...nicely done.
