I WaitA Poem by VyctmA poem inspired by Set Me Free, Casting Crowns. My first poem ever and one of my best.Pain and betrayal at the fireside Memories of grief and shame Desperation this place provides As a man was beaten lame The c**k crowed and the savior died The symbol set in stone Of betrayal at the fireside And no time to atone After death the Savior rose Than retuned once and twice But the betrayal in the charcoals Was fixed in the thrice A lost trip for fish at sea Was on its way home The savior stood at the shore Past sins were atoned © 2010 VyctmReviews
