I Wait

A Poem by Vyctm

"

Pain and betrayal at the fireside

Memories of grief and shame

Desperation this place provides

As a man was beaten lame

The c**k crowed and the savior died

The symbol set in stone

Of betrayal at the fireside

And no time to atone

After death the Savior rose

Than retuned once and twice

But the betrayal in the charcoals

Was fixed in the thrice

A lost trip for fish at sea

Was on its way home

The savior stood at the shore

Past sins were atoned

But to be a writer
is to be a masochist
and I refuse to get off
on the pain anymore

You poetry is full of meaning and I sure will follow your work.. good read

I first want to Thank You for your review. You definitely have some talent and definitely put me to shame. Keep working hard and doing what you love and I hope to see more in the future!

This is extraordinarily good. You have grasped the humanity of the pain without falling for the religiosity that so often steels the message.
