Come BackA Poem by Victor WaruiOnce gone, the hole left cannot be filled by anything except.....
Alas! My love is gone
Blown away by wind Borne by cold air, Afloat Tossed and flown beyond Darkening red horizons yonder My heart is hurt and broken Bleeding words of lament Bemoaning lost eternity One we dreamt of, vowed To give each other forever My love was my other half, Together we were complete Cojoined we ruled alongside Paired we tamed turbulent seas, Wadded like eels defying tides My brave companion is gone In thunder calming my scares Leading way thru' dark stairs Soothing balm to hurting scars Never forsaken me in solace Come back my dearest love If you hear my solicitous words Let 'em warm you from inside And melt you. Flow to my side. My hurt will cede, scars to heal. © 2019 Victor WaruiAuthor's Note
