LostA Poem by Victor WaruiLost and trapped.
Lost in the way
Lost in the alley Deserted street, alone and wary Bare on foot, its cold and early No one's awake, its noon and blurry A step forward, everything trembles Another stride, the cafe falls in shambles A jolt to escape, the path turns to rambles Standing is fateful, clouds' falling with rumbles Ready to crush a life, no matter how it humbles. Can't move forward or stand still Trapped in mess without will Courage's no longer Heart's fill They choke me, each of my bill. Forever will be lost Lost in the way Lost in the alley. © 2019 Victor Warui |
