Beep! Beep! Beep! The sound of my alarm clock pierced my ears. The clock said 6:30 a.m. I got up and all I could see was darkness except for a small ray of light shining through the drapes. I turned on the light. My room was neat as usual. There were posters of Slipknot, Ozzy, Deathstars, and other bands spread all across the room. I put on my thick camo pants and my dark black shirt. On it had a sheathe with my prized possession; my six inch Jack Knife. It was shiny, had a brown handle, and very sharp. Suddenly I looked up. I heard a gunshot and violent screaming. “No time for a shower now.” I whispered to myself. I quickly combed my straight, long black hair and then went into the kitchen. I grabbed a small bottle of coke and a ham sandwich then walked towards the pantry. I opened it up but instead of there being an empty space there were two metal doors with an old fashioned key lock locking them. I took a small key from my pocket and unlocked the doors. The doors were stuck. It had been 2 years since I had opened them and they had started to rust. I opened it up. Inside were rows of weapons. Everything from Machine Guns, to Handguns, to baseball bats. I grabbed a couple then walked out of my house. I put two handguns in holders, shotgun on a holder on my back, and a Machine Gun on a holder on my chest. Aaaaahhhhhhhh! I heard that same scream again. I then heard a grenade go off. I fell to my knees and held my head in agony. The pain ripped through my body. I could see it; Nazis everywhere killing people. It was one heck of a bloodbath. My partner Frank MacTavish. “Fraaaank! Noooooo!” I yelled. He kept on charging. A German came up behind him and stabbed him in the back. “You Nazi Coward.” I screamed at the German soldier. I shot him then ran towards my friend. He died shortly after spitting up blood. Then… Pop! A grenade went off close to where I was. I suddenly woke up lying on the ground. “That was horrible, I thought I repressed that.” I said. Beside me was a tall man about twenty-eight years old. “Good you’re awake.” He said to me. “Are you alright?” He asked. “Yeah I’ll be fine.” I replied. “So who’s this MacTavish guy?” He asked curiously. “My partner in the Military back in 38. We were on a mission to infiltrate a Ger… I mean a Nazi hideout.” “Oh. Um… let me introduce myself,” he said, “My name is Jack Marshall. I am, well used to be an F.B.I. agent. “Oh yeah what department?” I asked him wondering. “B.A.U.” he replied. “It stands for the Behavorial…” “Behavorial Analysis Unit.” I finished. “A friend of mine used to work there, you know before the Mass Destruction.” “Yeah the day when Albert unleashed that mutating virus. Never been the same since.” He said. We could hear a deep groaning sound. It was close to us, probably about 20 feet away. I stood up and grabbed a handgun out of one of the holders. I brushed the hair out of my face then looked to the left. There was a human like figure. Only it wasn’t human, at least not anymore. The creature started advancing quicker. It had black goo oozing out of it’s mouth. It was missing one of it’s arms, but the other had four, five inch razor sharp claws. “I don’t even want to know what happened during mutation.” I thought to myself. I shot it in the arm but it barely flinched. I fired three shots to the legs hoping to cripple it but nothing seemed to work. Finally that jack guy grabbed the shotgun off of my back and shot the creature point blank in the face. Blood splattered all over my face and in my hair. I took it from him and at that instant another mutated creature grabbed Jack’s neck and started squeezing. I shot it right in the forehead with the shotgun. “By the way I’m Corey.” I said. “Corey Taylor.” We must have been walking for thirty minutes. Jack was panting, but I wasn’t at all. He looked tough with his buzz cut, tattoos, and muscle figure. Looks like he has no endurance though. “Hey where are we going anyway?” He asked. A friend of mine that recently died was spying on Albert. He left a clue to his underground hideout in case anything was ever to happen to him. Looks like he was right. I told Jack. “We’re going to his house.” We walked for about another hour when we came upon it. It was an old abandoned house. The paint was chipping off of it and almost all the windows were smashed. I handed Jack a gun because he definitely had training. “Careful.” I told him. He nodded at me. “Also try not to attract any attention.” I also told him. It was fairly light, I checked my watch and it said it was 8:00 a.m. I saw a staircase so started towards it when I noticed the closet shaking. I motioned for Jack to wait where he was. I opened the pantry and a dead man fell out face first. A dog came out after him and ran off. I turned him over onto his back and looked at him. “D****t Joey. I thought they gave you a proper burial.” Then I noticed that there was numbers on his stomach. They said 317.23 and 576.11. “What could they be?” I asked. “Um they look familiar, sort of like…” Jack started. “Coordinates. That’s it there coordinates to Albert’s hideout. 317.23 West and 576.11 North.” I yelled in excitement. I took out my G.P.S. and entered them into it. “Awhhhh! We’re 20 km away from it.” I said in fury. “We can drive.” Jack suggested. “No!” I said loudly. “Well there is a subway nearby, but I don’t get why we can’t drive.” He said. “Driving is too dangerous because humans aren’t the only life forms that are not immune to the virus.” I told him. “Oh crap really? Now that you mention it, I do remember seeing an elephant with abnormally large tusks.” What would an elephant even be doing in the big apple anyway?” Jack asked. “A bunch of animals were being transported to the zoo when the virus hit them.” I replied. “Oh, okay then.” Jack said. We walked towards the subway. There was a couple of those creatures outside of it. I took my Jack knife out of the sheathe and threw it at one of them. It hit it right in the head and pierced right through it’s eye and out the back of it’s head. I took out my Machine Gun and shot another one of them right in the chest then the head. I then ran up to one and punched it so hard it’s neck snapped back. There was a hardware store nearby. I ran into it and grabbed a metal grinder and an extension cord. I turned it on and threw it at one of them. It hit it’s neck decapitating it. Blood squirted from what used to be it’s head. Them Jack came out of the hardware store with a gas powered chainsaw. For the first time he had a murderous look in his eyes. He charged at a group of them and swung the chainsaw wildly. He hit three of them and cut them all in half. The last one was still alive so I shot it. I couldn’t believe it. He ran towards one of them and stuck the chainsaw in it’s stomach. It was ripping up it’s insides and I could see guts flying. All the zombies were dead and entrails were scattered all over the ground. “Holy crap that was so awesome.” I yelled. “Thanks man.” Jack said. We got into the train and immediately Jack ran to the bathroom. I started the train and it slowly started moving. It started gathering speed when all of a sudden everything was all blurry. I fell down. I suddenly woke up. I was just recovering from a grenade explosion nearby. There were Germans everywhere. One came up to me with a knife. He was just about to kill me when one of my teammates shanked him. “Thanks.” I said. “Yeah no problem.” He replied. I saw my friend lying on a stretcher dead. “No!” I yelled. The person that just helped me got sniped in the head. Then another German came up to me and stabbed me in the chest. It all went black after that. “A….. re..?” A voice said. “What?” I mumbled. “Are you okay Corey?” Jack asked. “Yeah I just had a horrible flashback.” I answered. “What was it about?” He asked annoyingly. “Mind your own damn business.” I yelled. He was silent after that. We arrived. The G.P.S. said we were only 20 metres away from his hideout. We were in an open area except for a couple trees. There barely any grass, and the grass that was left was brown and dying. Then I saw two doors looking like they led somewhere underground. Must’ve been his hideout. Jack ran off leaving me behind. Then emerging from the doors was an average sized man with dirty blonde hair combed back. He was wearing black glasses and a black overcoat. He took his glasses off and looked at me. His eyes were pure red. “Well, well, well. If it isn’t good old Corey Taylor.” He said menacingly. “How do you know my name Albert?” I asked him. “Let’s just say outside sources.” He replied. He dropped his glasses and they shattered. He started running towards me with a black and red magnum in hand. Judging by the look of it, it was a .45 caliber. I took both of my handguns out and shot at his chest where his heart was. He didn’t even stagger. I unloaded my handgun and threw it at him but he just ducked. I shot the magnum out of his hands with the other handgun. He came up to me and grabbed it and snapped it right in half. All I had was my explosives and my knife. I took my knife out of it’s sheathe and he took out a shotgun. I snatched it out of his hands and pointed it towards him. He snapped that in half too. “That’s it he infected himself, except with a controlled dosage.” I said. “Right you are Corey.” Albert said back. He took out his knife. It was about as long as mine. He slashed it at me. I deflected it with my knife, and sparks flew. I punched him and he fell back. He thrusted his hand forward and suddenly 5 mutated creatures and a wild mutated dog charged at me. The dog jumped on me and started gnawing on my face. I grabbed his neck with both hands and twisted it. Snap! Blood splattered all over me. I got up and two of the mutated humans attacked me at once. I shanked one of them and slit the other one’s throat. Blood was gushing out of his neck. I stood up quickly and threw a grenade at the other three. They all blew up leaving behind a scattered pile of body parts. Blood was spread all over the ground. Albert looked pissed. He ran towards me slashing his knife wildly. I deflected all of his attacks. He kicked me right in the face, and I fell back. He threw his knife at me and it stabbed me right in the arm. “Ahhh.” I yelled. He laughed. Wow he was strong. He picked me up and threw me ten feet. Thud! I smacked against the ground. My arm was really hurting and it was bleeding quite quickly. I tied a piece of my shirt tightly around it before he got to me. I was still lying on the ground and he jumped on top of me. He was just about to stab me in the chest when Jack shot him in the back of the head. He fell down on top of me, a dead motionless corpse. Jack ran towards me and heaved his bloody corpse off of me. “Are you…” He started. “Yes I am, other than this huge stabwound on my arm.” I said jokingly. “Oh yeah here let me get you to a guy I know that has medical experience.” Then I started feeling really dizzy. My node started bleeding more than usual and it all went black again. There I was in the hospital. I could see my wife and my teammates. The doctors were trying to revive them but they weren’t having any luck. My wife looked horrible. She looked tired and her skin was a pinkish red color. Then she started squirming and thrashing in her bed. She was spitting up blood and then she went silent. She was barely alive. I quickly jumped out of my bed and went to hers. “What happened to you?” I asked. “They forced me to…” She said in a weak voice. “Forced you to what?” I asked. “They injected me with Cyani…” She said in an even weaker voice. “D****t! Did they inject Cyanide into you? That explains the pink skin and that thrashing.” I said. I started crying. I haven’t cried for a while. Even when my friend died I never shed a tear. I tried to stop but I couldn’t. I went up to her and kissed her on the forehead. “Goodbye.” I said. She went into Cardiac Arrest and died not long after. I shut her eyelids. Then I woke up. I was at a man’s house and he was treating my wound. “Nooooooooooooo!” I have to save her before it’s too late.” I screamed. “Save who Corey?” Jack asked. He tried to keep me on the bed but it was too late. I ran towards the door. I found a shotgun near it in a closet and brought it with me. I ran to an empty street and looked up into the sky. I shot the gun up at the sky. “How could you do this to me?” I asked. “How could you take her away?” The sun was just rising. “I’m coming honey.” I yelled. I pointed the gun towards me and then I pulled the trigger. Please leave a comment saying if you liked it or not and what your thoughts are on it.
