What have I done

What have I done

A Poem by Deadline Jeffrey

Has it come to this crossroads again?
When choices carry the weight of the world,
Carried all in the palm of my hand?
Matters of the heart,
Matters of the body,
Matters of the mind,
All carry the same weight as the others,
Equally important and severe,
Like scars upon ones arms,
The consequences shall be carried,
No matter which path is taken,
And the unknown destination,
Be it prosperous,
Or detrimental,
The unknown is burdened by the same,
And at the end,
Do we go with a bang or a whimper?
Time will only tell,
But this much I know,
That past mistakes will not be remade,
And future mistakes shall be avoided,
So shall I be made whole,
And a person I shall feel once again.
