Night

Night time brings peace and tranquility,
The silence in the air,
The lack of people,
The lack of noise,
The dark comes like a veil,
Overshadowing the issues of the day,
At last there is peace,
The sound of insects,
Or lack there of,
Either is fine,
For as the night brings silence,
The mind is free to wander,
Devoid of purpose,
Or the weight of troubles,
The stars illuminate the soul of the mind,
And we are free to be,
Just as we are,
Wandering aimlessly into the void
